From May to September the Khareef (southwest monsoon) delivers brutally consistent 25–40 knot winds, making it one of the windiest places on Earth during summer. The island is remote, undeveloped, and virtually empty — a stark contrast to the crowded kite beaches of Europe. Miles of white sand beach, warm water, and flat-water lagoons behind the reef make it a raw, adventure-style watersports destination.
